In recent years, this discipline has obtained fruitful research achievements led by 2 professors and 5 associate professors, such as dozens of academic papers published in “Economic Research”, “Accounting Research”, “Management World”, “Quarterly Journal of Economics”, “China Accounting and Finance Review (Hong Kong) ” and “Nankai Business Review” , etc. The target of this discipline is to cultivate the first-class research-based and practical talents in domestic and even in Asia-pacific . Graduates from this discipline have multiple places available for them, like famous universities at home and abroad for a doctoral degree, foreign joint ventures, large and medium-sized private enterprises, government agencies, consulting agencies, institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes and other units.
Business Administration
On a basis of the practice of enterprise management in domestic regions, especially the Pearl River Delta and eastern region of Guangdong, this discipline concentrates on the five research directions, which are Chaozhou enterprise research, modern enterprise theory, operations and logistics supply chain management, information technology and e-commerce, and hospital management. The target of this discipline is to make the students to be high-level research-based and practical talents in relevant fields. Graduates from this discipline have multiple places available for them, like famous universities at home and abroad for a doctoral degree, foreign joint ventures, large and medium-sized private enterprises, government agencies, consulting agencies, institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes and other units.
Technology Economics and Management
Relying on the school’s first-level discipline of business and management, this subject has formed three research directions which have obvious advantages and development prospects: technology innovation and management, business process management and information technology management. The advantage can be summed up into two facets: one is the prominent research foundation. The backbone teachers and academic leaders in the discipline have acquired fruitful research results. They have published more than 40 academic papers in prestigious journals both at home and abroad, also have 4 professional works published; another advantage is its reasonable organization structure. Team members engage in research, like enterprise information system strategy and adoption, organization implementation; patterns for e-business and enterprise information; supply chain management, business process innovation technology and the optimization model of logistics; technological innovation management and pioneering enterprise value evaluation; enterprise growth management, business intelligence, data mining and information service management research.
